Go into all nations!
863 miles- The distance between RFC’s Mission office and River of Life Church in Henderson Kentucky. While the distance is small in comparison to the 8,754 miles we travel each time we go to Project Samuel Zambia, there are literally millions of people and hundreds of destinations between the two points. Last week I returned home to visit with friends, and family and share with them about Mission Possible. As I arrived at the church Andrea and I had served at the last 9 years, I was greeted with such love and enthusiasm. It made sense to come home and see everyone after having spent so much time there. It is still a wonder how we are in Houston Texas serving at risk children on the mission field.
With all of the possibilities, it is amazing when we see God connecting the dots in our life. I don’t know if you have ever considered how all of the dots get connected, but I have found it to be an exciting adventure with purpose and meaning. For us it has looked like developing a passion over thirteen years ago to do missions, and then making choices along the way in pursuit of that dream. We have seen doors open and close, and have sometimes wondered why, only to find something better in the pursuit. Now as we have stepped into our mission passion, we can trace back and see how the dots have been connected. One thing that I have learned, is that it would not be possible to have made is this far on our journey without the people in our lives that have helped us.
